Town Manager

The Town of Coats, NC (pop. 2,271), a Council-Manager form of government, is seeking qualified applicants for a Town Manager to serve as the chief administrative officer.  Prefer degree in Public Admin., Finance, or Business Admin., experience as Town or City Manager, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Knowledge of municipal management/administration, public works functions, and planning/zoning. Utility Maintenance Worker

The Town of Coats is accepting applications for a Utility Maintenance Worker.  This position is responsible to perform a variety of labor, equipment operation and mechanical semi-skilled work, usually working as a part of a team in the construction, repair and maintenance of water lines, fixing leaks, small street repairs, buildings and grounds maintenance, meter reading and meter repair, attending water services for residents, picking up yard goods, and other services as required.   Education and experience equivalent to completion of high school and experience in semi-skilled maintenance and construction work will be considered.  Possession of valid North Carolina driver’s license is required and a CDL will be a plus.  Applications are available at the Town Hall of Coats and also on the website at www.coatsnc.org.  Applications may be forwarded to: Town of Coats Personnel, P O Box 675, Coats, NC  27521, kwooten@coatsnc.org or in person at the Town Hall, 25 E.
