Finance Department

The Finance Department is responsible for managing and safeguarding the financial affairs of the Town of Coats. The department provides financial services and information to Town departments, elected officials, employees, residents, businesses, and other members of the community.

The Finance Department is responsible for the Town's budget and financial reporting, accounting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, purchasing, cash management, banking, financial records, and other municipal financial operations. The department works closely with the Town Manager and Town departments to monitor revenues and expenditures and ensure that financial activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and adopted budgets.

The Finance Department also assists with the preparation and administration of the Town's annual budget, coordinates the Town's annual financial audit, maintains financial records, processes payments and invoices, and provides financial information, reports, etc., to the Town Manager and Town Board of Commissioners.

The department works to promote financial accountability, transparency, and responsible stewardship of public funds while providing timely and professional service to the community.

Finance Director

The Finance Director oversees the Town's financial operations and is responsible for the administration and supervision of the Finance Department. The Finance Director works with the Town Manager, Town Board, department directors, employees, vendors, financial institutions, auditors, and other agencies on matters relating to the Town's finances.
