It’s a private, not-for-profit hospital that boasts board-certified physicians, all-new private patient rooms, new surgical suite, renovated birthing and pediatrics units, and like-new facilities for outpatient care. Other major healthcare systems include the medical research hospitals of Duke University Medical Center in Durham, and UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill.
